February : let's interview disabled people
Armed with their questions, the students set out to find disabled people in their entourage. They began to realize that not all disability are visible and that a lot of handicaps are invisible to the naked eye but are still very troublesome to live with.
They asked their questions, listened to the answers and tried to convey the results to their classmates and their foreign friends.
Regardless of the country, we all realized that we knew more disabled people than we thought and that the thing they most wanted was to be treated as normal human beings but at the same time, they sometimes needed a little bit of help and collaboration to do so.
The pupils were also able to recognize that a handicap could happen anytime in anyone's life and that the perspective to still be able to play an active part in the community was very important for the well being of the disabled.
